Screaming Treen is an enhanced clone of TS808 overdrive by Ibanez. Ibanez has launched a few models of this popular overdrive over the decades, but the very first one, TS808, have become a true legend. The ingenious, original circuit design that employs a JRC4558D chip, has been copied and modified in many other pedals by many other companies. It provides a nice, creamy, soft overdrive, that is by its character very close to cranked tube amps. That is how it get its nickname - Tubescreamer (TS).
Screaming Treen is built with an asymmetrical clipping stage that makes the pedal sound even closer to tube amp overdrive. Also there is a switch that empowers the bass and mid response, making the pedal sound more bluesy.
